This position is open to all qualified candidates.

This recruitment aims to fill (2) Short-Term Temporary (STT) positions with an anticipated duration of up to 6 months (ending 10/31/25, or up to 960 hours, whichever comes first) .

This posting may be used to establish a list of qualified candidates for the Seasonal Helper position in the following 6 months.

The Wastewater Treatment Division transforms wastewater to become a valuable resource for all King County communities. About the Role:

The primary function of this position is to give assistance to the Gardening and Utility Worker staff at WestPoint Treatment plant. Seasonal Helpers will perform basic gardening work, pressure washing, litter and garbage removal, and other important tasks. Spring and Summer increase the workload on the Building & Grounds team, and an influx of energetic individuals help the team manage the workload. Because Seasonal Helpers assisting our team, we can maintain and beautify the trails, grounds, and structures of WestPoint. This helps us to be good neighbors in the diverse community of King County.

About the Team:

The Building & Grounds team maintains the facilities and grounds of the Wastewater Treatment Division that protects the water and environment by treating wastewater. This contributes to safe and healthy communities in King County and helps the conservation and protection of habitats, ecological functions, and water quality in the Puget Sound.
