This is a part-time, hourly position and will have primary responsibility in assisting with the coordination, implementation, and program evaluation of Vocational Rehabilitation supported employment services including Individualized Placement and Supports (IPS).
- Collaborate with the Director of Mental Health and Assistant Director of Mental Health Services, and DMH to provide training on best case practices to Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) staff and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) counselors in IPS; this will include planning, facilitating and serving a key role on IPS fidelity reviews statewide.
- Assist with the development and provision of training CRP staff and VR counselors on best case practices in IPS supported employment services.
- Assist with the facilitation of collaborative service delivery with Department of Mental Health, VR and contracted providers to enhance the effectiveness and timeliness of employment for consumers including staff training and providing technical assistance to accredited and emerging sites.
- Assist with fidelity review scoring and writing fidelity review reports.
- Attend agency IPS Steering Committee meetings, when available either virtually or in person.
- Maintain, track and evaluate statewide data for the IPS program.
- Travel as required to complete job duties, which may include overnight stays.
- Perform related work and other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, guidance and counseling, psychology, social work or closely related field.
AND
Two years successful work experience as a supervisor of an IPS program in a mental health agency or two years of successfully assisting with IPS fidelity reviews
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Working knowledge of the basic principles of the VR program, CRP-VR Agreement, and the IPS fidelity model, including the eight principles of IPS.
- Knowledge of the organizational structure of VR and the Department of Mental Health, which includes the division of behavioral health.
- Considerable knowledge of best-case practices for the delivery of IPS supported employment services including fidelity reviews.
- Comprehensive knowledge of VR service delivery, policies and related regulations.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats, including public speaking skills.
- Ability to independently plan, organize and execute work effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within all levels internally and externally.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
