Vacation & Sick Leave

At the City of Buckeye, we understand the vital role that vacation time plays in supporting the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of our employees. Vacation and sick leave accruals begin on the first day of employment and may be used upon accrual. Additionally, employees receive credit towards vacation leave accruals for years of service with other public sector retirement systems nationwide (not including Federal service).

Holidays

The City of Buckeye observes eleven holidays per year: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Retirement
This position participates in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). Contribution is mandatory, and the current contribution rate is 12%, per fiscal year.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Within the Program Management Office (PMO), the CIP Analyst provides oversight and ensures enterprise governance for data quality and performance metrics across the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This role supports all phases of CIP projects-including initiation, execution, and closeout-through research, monitoring, auditing, and analytical and financial tasks. The position also maintains cross-functional relationships and ensures program tools are optimized for effective CIP management.
The CIP Analyst is a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with experience in financial administration, data analytics, and auditing systems. Key qualifications include preparing budgets, monitoring project and departmental expenditures, familiarity with contract administration or procurement practices, and at least three years working in collaborative, cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. Candidates should be proficient with multiple systems and embrace continuous improvement, innovation, fiscal responsibility, and excellent customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Project Management, Computer Science, Public or Business Administration/Management, or a related field. Four (4) years of experience administering, coordinating, and scheduling capital or infrastructure projects-such as using project management systems, cost estimating software, or capital project budgeting-is preferred; A Master’s degree is highly desirable; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
