Anticipated Hiring Range

$5,797.00 - $6,792.00 Per Month ($69,564.00 - $81,504.00 Annually)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

The College of Science & Engineering (CoSE) Operations Coordinator will coordinate and lead the administrative

and operational staff, systems, and activities that ensure optimal functioning and maintenance of all building

properties of the college: Hensill Hall, Thornton Hall, Science Building (ESB), Science & Engineering Innovation

Center (SEIC), and the Ethnic Studies & Psychology Building. This position is responsible for planning,

development, evaluation and management of the college's physical operations and technical programs and is the

primary contact for all facilities-related issues and service requests, providing leadership with a broad impact in

ensuring the overall condition of instructional spaces and offices meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

The Operations Coordinator will oversee the maintenance of all building systems in the college, including

mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, waste management, etc. This person will prepare and implement

preventive maintenance schedules, ensure that facilities follow safety standards and conform to specifications,

track work orders, and oversee that projects are completed within the budgeted guidelines.

This position serves as the college liaison with Capital Planning and Facilities for all construction and remediation

projects as well as works closely with and provides consultation to CoSE administrators and facilities staff

including but not limited to project coordination of capital improvements to CoSE facilities and maintenance of

specialized learning spaces. The incumbent works with college administrators and staff to coordinate long-range

and term-specific support operations to meet the changing needs of departments and the college with the goal

of innovating and improving practices and procedures and service delivery for the college and its multiple

stakeholders; and serves as the college liaison to the university Environmental, Health and Safety office as well as

all university operations related to facilities services building operation, maintenance and repair. The incumbent

will report directly to the Dean of the College of Science & Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or

evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or

programs.

Must be available to respond to emergencies and after-hours situations as the need arises; work

schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
