Pay Range: $37.66 - $48.95/hr. | $78,326 - $101,824 annual compensation

Sign on Incentive: $5,400 *** 50% paid after the completion of first pay period, 50% paid after the completion of 6 months of employment. *** Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. Some evening/weekend work required. Hybrid work arrangements may be available after completing the initial six-month probationary period.

Potential projects you will be a part of include any of the below: - Perform project, management duties and professional civil engineering work for the capital infrastructure projects which are primarily Stormwater-related such as storm drain pipe rehab, channel restoration, culverts design and other Storm water improvement design projects.
- Perform professional civil engineering work to evaluate Stormwater-related issues and develop the scope, schedule, and budget for Stormwater infrastructure capital improvement projects to address these issues. Tasks will include managing consultants, reviewing consultant plans and specifications, conducting public meetings, reviewing contracts, amendments, and invoices, and performing other tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
- Four (4) years of professional civil engineering experience, two (2) of which must be related to stormwater management/drainage and infrastructure capital improvement projects.
- Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. If licensed in another state, continued employment will be contingent upon obtaining registration as a Professional Engineer within the State of Texas within six months of employment.
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Highly familiar with fundamental principles, practices, and techniques of Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage and civil engineering.
- Experience with FEMA and other federal agencies regulations and permitting.
The Professional Engineer- Stormwater job responsibilities include: - Performing construction project management and professional civil engineering work to evaluate Stormwater-related issues and develop the scope, schedule, and budget for Stormwater infrastructure capital improvement projects to address these issues.
- Ability to meet pressing deadlines and manage contracts; A significant amount of contact with the public will be required. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with City officials, residents, commercial entities, and other agencies.
- Exceptional customer service, time management, communication, and writing skills are essential to address telephone, email, and public inquiries.
- Reviewing consultant Plans and Specifications to Ensure project compliance with appropriate Federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations.
- Prepare, review and evaluate construction bids, cost estimates, change orders and related financial impact analyses.
- Providing direct support to the Engineering Manager and assisting in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, goals and objectives and making recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards and procedures.

Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
