Position DescriptionThe Student Success Coach position is critical to the day-to-day processes within the SHP Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, which contributes to the advancement of institutional student success. The position will report to the Director of Admissions and requires someone who has excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment. The individual will be willing to step in whenever needed while prioritizing and handling multiple tasks associated with the position and supporting the Admission & Student Affairs team.
Major/Essential Functions- Assist with recruitment, prospective student advising, admissions processing, new student onboarding and student engagement to support the SHP(School of Health Professions) enrollment goals.
- Represents the TTUHSC(Texas Tech Health Sciences Center) School of Health Professions to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.
- Evaluate admission applications.
- Assist with the Slate (CRM) system in gathering student information, tracking and reporting.
- Serve as an admission advisor to prospective SHP students and SHP applicants.
- Compare degree requirements and contents of courses offered with those of other colleges and universities.
- Assist with New student onboarding processes.
- Perform recruiting activities and maintain recruitment records as needed.
- Assist in answering phones and emails about the TTUHSC School of Health Professions.
- Assist with TTUHSC School of Health Professions events.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related area of study and 2 years of student support experience in a mentoring, advising, tutoring, or related capacity.
