Anticipated Hiring Range

$5,274 - $5,380 Per Month ($63,288 - $64,560 Annually)

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the Institute for Civic & Community Engagement (ICCE), the Community Engagement & Learning Coordinator provides essential coordination and infrastructure support for SF State’s community-based learning initiatives through a combination of faculty engagement, community partnership development, and data-informed program administration. This role manages student placements through SF State’s community engagement platform (ULink), oversees CSU mandated risk compliance processes, and supports faculty with course attribution, site matching, and grant coordination. The coordinator develops and maintains community partnerships, plans ICCE events such as the Service & Internship Fair, and facilitates training and outreach to students, faculty, and partners. Additionally, the position is responsible for institutional reporting, tracking engagement metrics, and producing ICCE’s Annual Impact Report. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that supports equity-focused high-impact practices, the university’s civic learning goals, and the CSU Chancellor’s Office Community-Engaged Learning Initiative.

Minimum Qualifications

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
