Job Location: This position will be located at Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W. High St., Jefferson City MO 65101.
Why you’ll love this position:The Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) is seeking applicants for a Grants Specialist position with a strong focus on accounting and budget management. This senior-level role is a key part of the team that manages all aspects of CTF’s child abuse and neglect prevention grant programs. The position requires strong fiscal management skills along with the ability to collaborate with community, state, and national organizations. Relationship-building and clear communication are essential.
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
- Developing requests for proposals (RFPs)
- Providing technical assistance to applicants
- Overseeing competitive bid processes
- Awarding and monitoring contracts
- Supporting grantees in achieving measurable outcomes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal grant requirements
- Collaborate with the Grants Supervisor in decision-making process, guidelines, and polices
- Understand and apply state budget processes to provide backup support to the Agency Budget Analyst.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree, 2-3 years professional work experience in the field of child maltreatment or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in managing state or federal contracts
- In-depth knowledge of federal grants and program budgets
- Accounting or Financial background preferred
- MissouriBuys/SAMII knowledge is preferred
- Knowledgeable of child maltreatment prevention
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and motivation to learn
- Some in-state and out-of-state travel required
