About the Department

The San José Environmental Services Department (ESD) is responsible for the management of solid waste collection and recycling; watershed protection and pollution prevention; municipal drinking water and recycled water; community sustainability initiatives, and the operation and infrastructure improvements of the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. ESD’s mission is to deliver world class utility services and programs to improve our health, environment, and economy. ESD is comprised of a staff of over 530with a diverse set of skills and specialties among our team. Position Duties

The salary range for the Warehouse Supervisor classification is $77,968.80-$94,763.76 paid annually. This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidates’ qualifications and experience.

The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking to fill one (1) full-time Warehouse Supervisor vacancy .

Minimum Qualifications

Education
Completion of high school or equivalent (General Education Development [GED] Test or California Proficiency Certificate.

Experience
Five (5) years of warehousing experience in a moderate size warehouse, two years of which should be supervising others in the receipt, warehousing inventory control of a wide variety of commodities or three (3) years leading others at level equivalent to Warehouse Worker II.

Required Licenses: Possession of a valid State of California driver's license is required .
