Job Location: Vocational Rehabilitation Central Office, 3024 Dupont Circle, Jefferson City, MO 65109

This is a fiscal position responsible for the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for the operation of the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program as well as efficient and accurate review/approval of VR invoices.
- Order supplies and equipment for VR district offices and process requests for printed materials
- Utilize state financial systems to encumber funds, purchase goods and services, initiate payments, process refunds, cancelled checks, and rejected payments; and assist with fixed asset entries for equipment and other qualified purchases
- Work with district offices, as needed, to verify receipt of goods and services and proper purchasing and office equipment repair procedures
- Manage maintenance agreements on VR office equipment
- Review invoices, including the monthly telecommunications bill, for accuracy, communicate with vendors and staff regarding discrepancies, and make corrections as appropriate
- Review procurement card documentation for compliance with existing policies
- Perform data entry for SSA cost reimbursement claims
- Process postage due requests
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent. Two or more years of technical experience in the area of procurement, accounting, or closely related fiscal/financial activities.
(Other qualifications and experience which in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education meet the requirements of the position may be accepted in lieu of the above).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of general accounting principles and governmental accounting systems Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAM II financial system, MissouriBUYS and other agency systems Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and with other agencies and individuals Ability to plan, organize and execute a large volume of detailed work within assigned deadlines Ability to make arithmetical calculations with speed and accuracy Effective oral and written communication skills
