Performs managerial and administrative duties to facilitate and coordinate a wide variety of events at parks throughout the City of Orlando. In addition, manages the City’s Park Ranger Program, managing/deploying staff to parks throughout the City to ensure citizen safety, address/prevent problems during events, and identify/report park maintenance/management issues. Primary duties include developing and administering fee estimates and charges related to the rental of City facilities; establishing performance measures, monitoring the collection of attendance data, revenues, and expenses related to events at City parks and operation of the City’s Park Ranger Program, coordinating with promotors and the City’s Special Events Division to ensure that events at the City’s signature parks and other areas are implemented safely and successfully. Managing the City’s Park Ranger Program, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff who engage with park guests, answering questions, offering information on park amenities and upcoming events, assisting with special events and fostering positive interactions between the public and the Families, Parks and Recreation Department. This position reports to the Assistant Division Manager of the Parks and Recreation Division.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations/Marketing, Event Management, Facility Management, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or related field with four (4) or more years experience developing or implementing small and large-scale events in outdoor venues required, three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Driver's License required.
