Charleston Center is seeking a self-motivated, organized, analytical, detail-oriented candidate to provide financial analysis, reporting and accounting work involved in various financial and related activities. The ability to manage multiple financial tasks with multiple recurring deadlines a must.
HIRING SALARY: $54,308 - $59,384 Commensurate with education and experience)

Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing and submitting State financial and data reports within external reporting deadlines
Developing and keying monthly departmental journal entries.
Processing payments received through Charleston County financial systems, to include cash receipts, credit card payments and electronic funds transfers
Compiling grant award documentation packets to include contracts and budgets.
Monitoring grant-related financial transactions including record-keeping and reporting.
Uploading patient refund documentation to appropriate account
Assisting with coverage for other financial areas as needed.
Providing accurate financial reports as requested by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates’ Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 3 years’ or more of experience in accounting, preferably in government,
Or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP).
General knowledge of financial procedures and practices.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to maintain close attention to details.
Ability to use logical thought processes to problem solve.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
