Position DescriptionManages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.
Major/Essential Functions- Under the direction of the Assistant Provost for Accreditation and Assessment, the employee will serve as a primary contact in the Office of Academic Planning and Compliance for federal and state academic planning and program compliance.
- Assist in the management of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's (THECB) Graduate Program Review process, and other THECB reporting as needed.
- Manage the Principles of Good Practice (PGP) certification process for distance learning courses.
- Support faculty and administration with academic program approvals/modifications in the Curriculum system management.
- Assist with project management in the Office of Academic Planning and Compliance.
- Assist with institutional accreditation processes and procedures, including the development of SACSCOC reaffirmation reports, the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), and the coordination of on-site visits.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree required, master's preferred; Six years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education beyond Bachelor's may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
