Job Location: - The office for this position is located at the Roberts State Office Building 1706 E. Elm St, Jefferson City, 65101.

The primary focus of this position is to assist ITSD-DMH in handling technical support questions and triage of application issues. Duties include monitoring email notifications, Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting errors within transaction and scheduling systems (TIDAL, SQL Server, Mainframe, application audit logs and Cherwell etc). Responsible for resetting files and/or rerunning processes when errors occur. Personal interactions with Business Owners, DMH private providers and other team members are required. This position will spend a good deal of time researching and troubleshooting of a wide variety of problems. The successful candidate for this position needs to have a technical background. Candidate must be effective working collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently as circumstances dictate.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division supporting the Department of Mental Health (DMH).

- Monitor multiple methods of issue reporting (Cherwell, emails & webex chats, etc.).
- Analyze tickets and direct users to the most appropriate solution.
- Write T-SQL queries to identify and resolve data related issues.
- Analyze, code, test and implement software updates.
- Review and follow technical documentation related to a wide range of issues and processes.
- Direct interaction and advisement of DMH Business users.
- Coordinating and consulting with other team members to complete work as needed.
- Periodic review and update of documentation related to issue resolution and various processes.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
- Excellent customer support and communication (oral and written) skills required.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
- Software development training is required.
- Experience with MS SQL query writing preferred.
- Experience with MS Visual Studio preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Familiar with Agile development concepts.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
