Description

The Family Support Division, is seeking applications for a Solution Architect, this position will be based in Cole County/Jefferson City FSD Office located at 615 Howerton Crt, Jefferson City, MO.

As the Solution Architect, you should be an excellent communicator and IT leader who is able to translate and navigate complex requirements into functional architecture. We’d also like you to have hands-on experience with software development and be able to manage complex Medicaid IT projects and programs. Your goal will be to analyze current technologies used within the Department of Social Services and determine ways to improve and ensure the Department’s technology and contracted software systems operate properly and in conjunction with strategic research, planning, project and data development needs.

Additional responsibilities include:



Skills:

• Knowledge standard operating systems, software applications, software security standards, software development lifecycle (SDLC), Data communication principles (such as APIs, batch processes, secure file transfers), Database structure skills and Data Security (including basic HIPAA standards).

• Project management understanding and leadership skills are essential.

• The ability to understand the Department’s mission, vision and business process needs and translate to technical requirements.

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize and get things done.

• Ability to understand the business processes and how technological solutions can support those processes.

• Can take the initiative to formulate or visualize new technological solutions to business processes.

• Ability to research technologies and make recommendations for the Department.

• The ideal candidate must be able to identify and analyze software functionality and should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with one or more data base languages is strongly preferred and strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to be successful in this role.

• Ability to create strong working relationships with vendors and staff must be developed and maintained.

• Knowledge of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards or willingness to learn is strongly desired.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or related field is preferred and 4-6 years in information technology,

Desired Experience: I n business analysis, database management, development and design are desired.
