POSITION:

The Economic Vitality and Arts & Culture Support Coordinator performs, under general supervision, more routine phases of professional or technical work in a department/agency; may act as a lead worker to lower-level staff; and perform other work as required.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate must have the ability to assist with administrative tasks for the Economic Vitality and Arts & Culture departments; work with a diverse group of customers, staff, and stakeholders; and communicate with tact and diplomacy. The candidate should also be capable of preparing basic office documents related to these departments and conducting basic research on economic data, trends, and funding opportunities. The incumbent will also handle highly confidential information and must maintain its confidentiality.

PAYROLL TITLE: Technical Specialist IV-MB

DEPARTMENT/AGENCY: County Executive Office

The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill current and future Regular (including Temporary and Fixed-term), Intermittent, and Extra Help vacancies for this position only. There is currently one (1) Extra Help vacancy within the County Executive Office.

This recruitment is for Extra Help and/or Intermittent employment only. Incumbents are not eligible for benefits. This assignment will last at least through June 2025 and may possibly be extended.

An example of qualifying education and experience is as follows:

Four (4) years of advanced-level clerical or administrative support experience, including conducting research, managing grants and/or performing community outreach

OR

The equivalent of a bachelor's degree in economics, social science, political science, public administration, business administration, communications or related discipline.
