Position Description
Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Major/Essential Functions
- Assists with sourcing and recruiting clinical and basic science faculty, as well as advanced practice clinicians.
- Assists with screening potential faculty for attributes desirable to the organization and the position while promoting the organization image as an employer of choice.
- Enters, updates and maintains data from provider applications into credentialing database, focusing on accuracy and interpreting or adapting data to conform to defined data field uses, and in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Communicates clearly with providers, their liaisons, medical staff credentialing offices, medical staff leadership, closely aligned recruiters and administration as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.
