What You'll Be Doing

We are currently seeking a Housing - Social Worker to become a member of an interdisciplinary community services team for the HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS) population. Housing Affordability & Community Revitalization PHSS follows the Housing First Model.

The HOPWA Housing Social Worker utilizes a trauma informed framework to assess client’s needs and collaborates with the client to determine the best plan of action to meet these needs. The Social Worker utilizes Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and other clinical interventions to assist the client with maintaining health and housing stability. The Social Worker facilitates and coordinates access to the services and resources necessary for long-term health and housing stabilization. Services may be provided in the client’s home, field and/or agency and in some cases may require on-call availability.

Hiring Range: 23.94 - 40.70 Commensurate with Experience

Emergency Service Worker Statement

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
