ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the WRD Control Systems Engineer position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Planning and directing the operation, security, and troubleshooting of comprehensive real-time wastewater operational technology (OT), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), and process control systems.
- Supervising and training programming, instrumentation, and operational staff performing all activities of the OT, SCADA, and process control systems.
- Directing the development and acquisition of new and upgraded system hardware, firmware, and software for existing and planned facilities.
- Developing and adhering to budgets related to the systems; administering professional services contracts; ensuring system design standards are followed.
- Collaborating with administrative, operational, maintenance, and informational technology personnel to analyze processes, continuously improve systems, and provide customer service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a field related to the work AND five (5) years of full-time professional level experience in developing and modifying systems and programs for real-time process control or similar applications. Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application. Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.
