The
Real Estate Services Department is seeking strong Real Estate professionals to join their team! Make the switch to public employment and learn the ropes of public sector acquisition (both general and right-of-way), disposition, and appraisal from our talented team of professional agents!
Essential duties include researching market and comparable data for appraisal, acquisition, disposition, and relocation purposes; developing real estate trends market database for all property types and communities; maintaining the County-owned property database in Archibus (Real Estate Software System); and assisting with various stages of acquisitions, appraisals, relocations, franchise management, and surplus property disposition.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver's license is required at time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. Employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles; employees must present and maintain proof of automobile liability insurance. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Minimum RequirementsQualified candidates

and experience requirement as listed below.
EXPERIENCE One (1) year of full-time equivalent professional or technical real estate experience in the areas of: appraisal, leasing, and disposition, relocation assistance, or building improvement project management. (Note: Qualifying experience must be in mixed use, office, industrial, or retail environment . Residential experience is not considered qualifying.)
--AND -- EDUCATION Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in real estate, public/business administration, economics, or other closely related field.
Education Substitution: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute the education requirement.
Desired QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in real estate, public/business administration, economics, or other closely related field is highly desirable. Experience in commercial real estate and working for (or with) a government agency is also desired.

Salary:
$57,428.80 - $78,811.20 Annually
