Summary
Auxiliary Officer
The City of Superior Police Department is accepting applications for Auxiliary Officer to fill openings and create an eligibility list. This is a non-sworn, volunteer position. Auxiliary Officers within the Superior Police Department perform essential support functions to include: assisting with traffic and pedestrian control during special events, assisting during large scale emergencies, assisting with securing crime scenes, and performing other related community policing assignments.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements prior to applying:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must live within a 45 minute response time of the Superior Government Center.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Must be of good moral character.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony.
- Must be willing to meet grooming and uniform appearance standards.
- Must be willing to volunteer an average of 10 hours per month (one monthly meeting plus 1-2 events during peak months).
