Summary
Leidos seeks a Military Family Life Counselor to support service members and families within the Military, Aerospace & Defense community. In this role, you will provide non-medical, short-term counseling, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention to address deployment stress, family dynamics, and readjustment challenges. You will conduct individual, couples, and group sessions; deliver outreach and training on resilience and coping skills; and collaborate with command leadership and installation resources. Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical, short-term counseling to service members and their families for a range of military life stressors.
- Deliver individual, couples, family, and group sessions focused on resilience, coping, and adjustment.
- Conduct psychoeducational briefings, workshops, and outreach on topics such as deployment, reintegration, and family communication.
- Offer crisis intervention, safety assessments, and appropriate referrals to military and community resources.
- Collaborate with command leadership, installation services, and other stakeholders while maintaining client confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with Leidos and Do
- D standards.
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development to ensure high-quality, evidence-informed services.
- Support a mission-driven, ethical, and culturally sensitive environment aligned with Leidos values and Do
- D requirements.
