Stanislaus County Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented professional with a collaborative spirit and a positive, can-do attitude to join our Human Resources team as a Confidential Assistant II. This extra-help, part-time position plays an important role in supporting the employees who provide vital behavioral health and recovery services to our community.

THE POSITION
The Confidential Assistant II is the journey level classification in this series. Under general direction, incumbents provide HR related customer service and clerical support. Duties are typically associated with personnel, payroll, leaves, recruitment and employee relations.

EXAMINATION PROCESS

CLASSIFICATION INFORMATION
Unless otherwise provided, this position is part of the Unclassified Service of the County and considered “at will” for labor relations purposes. The individual selected will participate in the Stanislaus County Pay-for-Performance program, as well as receive additional benefits.

Note: The eligible list generated from this recruitment may be used to fill future extra-help, part-time and full-time vacancies throughout Stanislaus County.

Incumbents may also be subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday and shift assignments as identified in their MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).

Part-time extra-help is a provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. This position is subject to overtime, standby, shift, and callback assignments and will perform related duties as assigned. This position is non-benefited except for participation in a 401a program with Nationwide.

Final appointment will be conditional upon successfully passing a County paid pre-employment drug screening (if applicable for position) and a job-related background investigation.
