The PositionBargaining Unit: Local 21 - Non-Supervisory Management Contra Costa County is recruiting to fill two (2) Business Services Representative vacancies in the Employment and Human Services Department.

Business Services Representatives play an important role in creating partnerships with employers and helping job seekers connect with meaningful employment opportunities. In business-facing positions, it is critical to appreciate the diversity of industries across the County, as well as to understand and respond to new and emerging sectors. Employees in this position help shape workforce strategies, respond to business needs, and contribute to programs that strengthen both the local economy and the communities served by the County.

What you will typically be responsible for: - Building and maintaining relationships with employers to understand hiring needs and workforce challenges
- Promoting workforce programs and services to businesses, community organizations, and other partners
- Coordinating recruitment activities, hiring events, workshops, and employer engagement activities
- Connecting businesses with qualified candidates and workforce resources
- Collaborating with internal staff and external partners to coordinate services and improve outcomes
- Monitoring and documenting program activities, outcomes, and performance metrics
- Providing information, presentations, and technical assistance related to workforce programs and services

The eligible list established from this recruitment may remain in effect for six (6) months. Minimum Qualifications License Required: Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator's license will be accepted during the application process.
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, psychology, organizational management or a closely related field.
Experience: Four (4) years or its equivalent experience in job creation, job development and employer engagement, employee recruitment, talent development and retention, marketing or public relations.
Substitution: 1) Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years.
2) One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may be substituted for the required academic majors.
Desirable Qualifications: - Experience working with employers, workforce programs, or business engagement activities
- Experience coordinating recruitment events, workshops, or outreach activities
- Strong presentation, public speaking, or facilitation skills
- Experience using databases, tracking systems, or performance reporting tools
- Knowledge of economic development programs
- Experience building partnerships with community organizations or businesses
- Bilingual skills or experience serving diverse populations

$82,731.88 - $100,561.10 Annually
