Description

Overview

Administrative support to the unit supervisor. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the unit - ordering supplies/equipment,submit purchase orders and reconcile P-Card statements. Provide assistance with the budget and grant preparations throughINFOR. Monitor unit and grant expenditures. Generate, track, and submit monthly OT reimbursement reports for FBI Safe streets, DEA OCDETF, JTTF, and HSI. Maintain stats for ICAC reporting. Maintain leased vehicle records. Monitor"Police Wires" for OT reimbursement through finance department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily operations of the unit

• Answer phones, filing, disseminate mail and correspondence

• Order supplies/equipment

• Reconcile P-card statement

• Monitor unit and grant expenditures

• Assist in preparation of budget

• POC for payroll, finance, and purchasing departments

• Track overtime worked by Officers for reimbursement

• Process monthly overtime reimbursement reports/invoices to FBI, HIS, and OCDETF

• Track reimbursements when electronic wires are received

• Process purchase orders as needed

• Reconcile PCard statements

• Update spreadsheets with ICAC stats

• Track leased vehicle information and report accordingly

• Assist ICAC unit on search warrants and serve as Evidence Log Technician

• Transcribe ICAC interviews

• Assist Officers with reports, ops plans, search warrants, etc

• Assist Investigators by gathering and organizing investigative information regarding criminal cases

• Use social media, HxGn Records, Informer, and TLO on a weekly basis for research

• Assign and approve investigative reports

• Maintain and update case files and intel information reports

• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work

• Non Exempt - Full-Time

Qualifications

• Associates Degree (AA/AS); or 2-year technical certificate

• Two (2) Years of Experience

Licenses and Certifications

• TCIC/NCIC within six (6) months of hire

• Notary within thirty (30) days of hire

Required

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating

A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
