This recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future Custodian positions at the South Treatment Plant for Career Service vacancies within the Wastewater Treatment Division over the next 6 months.

About the Role

The primary function of the Custodian is to maintain the cleanliness of interiors and exteriors of various office and industrial facilities at South Plant.

About the Team

South Treatment plant is part of King County’s regional wastewater system and serves south King County. The facility is nationally recognized for its award-winning design and its consistent compliance with state and federal discharge limits .

The South Treatment plant strives to engage communities and address the needs of priority communities that they identify for themselves in support of the Division’s mission to protect public health and water quality. Our group focuses on equity and social justice and makes this a priority in all our work.

The South Treatment Plant has approximately 170 employees who operate and maintain the plant. The plant also serves as a worksite for construction management personnel and administrative staff. It has a diverse workforce dedicated to supporting the mission of the Wastewater Treatment Division by safely operating and maintaining the facility to comply with environmental regulations.
