ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $5,274 - $5,597

CSU CLASSIFICATION SALARY RANGE: $5,274 - $7,684

PAY BASIS: Monthly

POSITION PURPOSE: The Division of University Advancement engages CSUB alumni, donors, and friends to connect the university with the community through communications, events, programs, and philanthropic opportunities. The division aims to advance the resources available to the university and strengthen higher education in our region.

Within the Division of University Advancement, under general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director of Development, the Athletics Annual Fund Coordinator administers and executes annual fund and donor engagement activities in support of CSUB Athletics. The position is responsible for coordinating solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship efforts for the Roadrunner Club, including managing the annual fund renewal process, maintaining ongoing donor and prospect relationships, and supporting revenue-generating initiatives tied to athletics programs.

The incumbent manages an assigned portfolio of annual fund-level donors and prospects, coordinates fundraising and stewardship events, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement donor engagement strategies. The position applies working knowledge of advancement practices to monitor participation and retention trends, support prospect identification efforts, and ensure accurate donor data management. The role requires independent judgment in prioritizing work, coordinating multiple activities, and delivering a high level of donor service while supporting established fundraising goals and priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience. Additional experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

LICENSES - Possession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: MEDIUM WORK - up to 40% of the activities involve sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling or walking; lifting heavy weight objects limited to 50 pounds; may involve pushing and pulling objects within the weight limits.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

SCREENING: Only those applicants possessing experience most directly related to the immediate needs of the office will be invited to appear before a Qualifications Appraisal Board for the purpose of appraising training, experience, and interest in the position.

BACKGROUND CHECK: Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
