PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To act as lead staff member on major projects such as preparation of Agency's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR); to implement and maintain major financial automation systems, issue bond indebtedness and assist in preparation of Agency budget.

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

Experience:
Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional accounting or financial management experience, preferably in a governmental or public agency environment, which includes:
• Preparing or assisting in the preparation of an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
• Experience with governmental accounting standards (GASB)
• Coordinating or supporting external audits
• Working with automated financial systems and financial reporting tools
• Preparing budgets, revenue/expenditure projections, and fund balance reconciliations
• Leading projects, coordinating staff work, or providing functional direction is preferred
